Obsidian

Obsidian is the most needed note app. The Obsidian app is available on most of platforms including macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Android, Linux, Windows.

Personal Wiki (GitBook) I use Obsidian as a main note app and trying to write everything on Obsidian. I started building my own wiki website on GitBook using Obsidian app. I sync the wiki folder on Obsidian with GitBook.

Pros:

  • Very extensible with plugins even on mobile (most of plugins work on mobile)

  • Available on most of platforms

  • Markdown syntax

Cons:

  • Only supports text files

  • Web clipping is limited (I found a bookmarklet to clip a webpage)

Plugin I like:

  • Rollover daily todos

  • Linter
